Merseyside marauders extraordinaire Zombina and The Skeletones come spacehopping outta your stereo, gleefully splodging whatever gets in their way.
'I Was a Human Bomb For the FBI' is suitably reinforced with hook heavy sci-fi mini epics ('Automatic' era Jesus and the Mary Chain), a few slivers of skin from the B-52's, some chipped paint scraped from The Cramps mobile with old broken guitar strings; stirred up with the strains of early '80's pop hits like 'Video Killed The Radio Star'.
Scattered shards of stop-start
pop punk punches and staccato stiletto heeled sounds coalesce into something
pretty unique. I've seen these skeleton togged tykes twice now, once at the
mighty Club Voodoo at Manchester's Retro Bar (UK) and also at their own rather
dashingly dapper 'Useless' club night at Liverpool's Zanzibar (UK). Anyway,
I can't remember much of either gig so it was good to be battered about the
senses, having aural bubblegum popped in my ears, by this cuuute lil 3 tracker.
