Therapy? - Crooked Timber

Irish punk rockers Therapy? make a triumphant return with a new studio album.

This is one hard and angry sounding album. The melodies are still there but subtly lurking behind a wall of hard riffs and rhythms. This CD isn't going to get much radio play (with the exception of Exiles perhaps) but it's good.

In a way it is all quite minimal with things running at a sedate pace in places but the power and energy is still there. It is very nice to hear a band that continues to challenge themselves and evolve rather than sticking with a set formula.

Standout tracks:
The Head That Tried To Strangle Itself
Exiles
Crooked Timber

Bizarrely, if anyone wondered what had happened to "that" snare sound on St. Anger, Therapy? seem to have found it on a couple of tracks but it doesn't seem so bad on this album!
