Tchort - Love Metal

Well, it's not REALLY Glam, but it brings up a good point.  Tchort used to be a death metal band, but they've since gotten a LOT better.  At this stage, Tchort is to old-school Heavy Metal what Hanoi Rocks was to Glam in the '80's.   You see, Tchort's record collection seems to center around Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest and they seem to have entirely ignored the Urban Uber Metal thing.  And I, for one, couldn't be happier.  Most importantly, Tchort understands that a lot of people feel that Metal is - well - kinda GOOFY!  The chorus in the Title track says it all - ("The Gods love Metal, Heavy Metal/Bad Metal? No such Metal!")  And the cover of Bony M's "Rasputin" will be stuck in your head for days.

Bear in mind, this loses points for not being an entirely new effort - about half the CD is the "Government Issue Rock N Roll" release from last year, but that was only on vinyl, so I understand why it was done.  It's not EXACTLY my thing, but it's a hell of a lot more fun than a lot of what's out there.  But, still, I think Tchort has yet to come out with there definitive statement.  That's what I'm waiting for.
