Diva Suicide - Scars

I had the good fortune to catch Diva Suicide live back in February quite by chance as my friends Cryogenica were supporting them. Diva Suicide put on a great show and it left me wanting to hear more so I was delighted when I was given the opportunity to review the soon to be released debut CD 'Scars'.

The CD is a great mix of genres sporting a femme metal feel with industrial/cyber undercurrent. In a way they reminded me of a heavier version of Razor Blade Kisses (who are one of my favourite bands).

Spanish vocalist -XS- not only looks fantastic but has a great set of pipes on her, a really strong and powerful voice. The songs themselves are really good. Strong pulsating rhythms with really catchy choruses. There are some great riffs on Scars with the synths adding great atmosphere.
