As recently as April, nineties cock rockers Buckcherry
didn't even have a major-label deal -- and their independently released third
album, 15, wasn't exactly a hit. But then they posted the dirty, catchy "Crazy
Bitch" on their MySpace page, which they also used to cast foxy local chicks
to dance in the low-budget, high-nudity video. "We just said if any girls
want to show up and do their thing, come to Key Club in Los Angeles, which we
decorated to look like a strip club," says frontman Josh Todd. "We
had an open bar starting at 10 a.m., and eventually the tops came off."
Buzz around the resulting soft-core clip helped drive the song to Number Fifteen
on the Modern Rock radio chart and scored Buckcherry a deal with Atlantic, which
has picked up 15. But MTV hasn't approved the video, despite asking for more
than eighty cuts. "A girl's legs were open too much," Todd says. "Basically,
too much ass."

Tigertailz
(featuring Pepsi Tate, Jay Pepper, Kim Hooker and Matt Blakout) have today (22/06/06)
received the UK Patent Office ruling on their opposition to the registration
of the Tigertailz name as a Trademark made by Steevi Jaimz. Jaimz, a former
vocalist with Tigertailz, was replaced by Kim Hooker back in 1988. The background
to this case is that Steevi Jaimz (and an associate) registered the Tigertailz
name as a Trademark with the UK Patent Office in June 2004. On hearing of this
registration the original Tigertailz band members Pepsi Tate and Jay Pepper
(along with later member Kim Hooker) launched a formal opposition to this registration
with the Patent Office in October 2004. Their opposition was based on the following
Trade Mark Law sections: Section 3(6) - (bad faith) and Section 5(4) - (passing
off). After 2 years of formal proceedings and evidence submission the final
Patent Office hearing was held on Tuesday 30th May 2006 with the formal decision
being delivered in writing on Tuesday 20th June 2006. On the 2 main counts of
opposition brought against Steevi Jaimz registration the hearing officer up-held
Pepsi Tate, Jay Pepper and Kim Hooker's claims as follows: 1. He ruled that
in all circumstances the opposition succeeds in Section 5(4)a - (passing off)
and 2. He also ruled in opponents' favour under Section 3(6) as well - (bad
faith). "In summary, after 2 years of legal wrangle we are pleased to announce
that we have won our case with regard to our right to the Tigertailz name. Many
thanks for your support through this difficult time. Best Regards Pepsi Tate,
Jay Pepper, Kim Hooker, Matt Blakout."

British glam
veterans Wrathchild are tipped to return later this year with a brand new singer.
The band who released three albums in the 1980s - Stakk Attakk, The Biz Suxx
and Delirium have long hinted at reforming and indeed late last year it was
reported that the group were rehearsing with three quarters of the most popular
line up - Rocky Shades, Eddie Starr, and Marc Angel, plus original guitarist
Phil Vokins. However in an about-turn, reported on the unofficial Wrathchild
web site's message board, it seems that the band will have a brand new singer
in Gaz Harris, currently of Beyond Recognition. According to a member of Gaz's
existing band, he will join Wrathchild in August following completion of his
current gig commitments and he tips Wrathchild to become "bigger than they
ever were."

will feature two additional bonus tracks, acoustic versions of the album tracks
"Last of the Superheroes" and "Unhappily Ever After". American
Heartbreak, who feature in their ranks former Jetboy guitarist Billy Rowe and
former Exodus bassist Michael Butler, have been one of rock's underground heroes
for nearly a decade, and with the release of their eponymous second full-length,
they have aimed to leave the underground behind and follow in the footsteps
of their arena rock idols. The CD was co-produced by Rick Parker, who had previously
worked with the likes of Black Rebel Motorcycly Club and Space Twins, among

break up in 1975, have been accused of inspiring everything from punk rock to
hair metal. "A lot of the mess people are listening to gets blamed on the
Dolls, but we've always been just a stupid R&B-based rock 'n' roll band,"
says their self-professed idiot savant leader David Johansen

On Saturday the 10th of June a memorial concert will be held for Nikki Sudden
at Elm Street in Oslo, Norway, where his partner in crime from The Jacobites,
Dave Kusworth will perform a full set of Sudden-/Jacobites -songs backed by
a band consisting of Norwegian musicians from Trashcan Darlings, Mormones and
The Loch Ness Mouse. This band will also back a long line of Norwegian singers
who will sing Sudden songs: Emil Nikolaisen (Serena Maneesh), Ivar Nikolaisen
(Silver), Strange? Gentle and Chris Damien Doll (Trashcan Darlings), Burnem
Müller (Backstreet Girls), Al de Loner (Midnight Choir), Tine (Cables),
Mark Steiner, David Dajani (Pirate Love) and Einar Stenseng (ex- Last Bandits)
among others. Nikki Sudden was the frontman of British post-punk band the Swell
Maps together with his brother Epic Soundtracks, but is just as famous for his
solo records and the records he released with the Jacobites. He died in New
York on the 26th of March this year. Chris Damien Doll from Trashcan Darlings
says: "He was a good personal friend of mine who I have spent a lot of
time with over the last couple of years when I've been in Berlin. Nikki Sudden
is one of the few people I have met that I can justify calling an "artist
to the teeth." Still always a gentleman, always welcoming and more on schedual
than most. His death came as a shock both to us who knew him and his fans in
general. His last album "The Truth Doesn't Matter" which is still
to be released, is the best solo record he ever did. I wanna celebrate Nikki
Sudden and that's why I organize this memorial concert for him." Organizer
Chris also says that this is not just done to celebrate a songwriter who has
meant a lot to everyone involved, but also to spread Nikki's music to new generations
