Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx has told Doug Podell of Detroit's WRIF 101.1 FM that the band will commence the songwriting / demoing process for their new studio album on 1 May 2006. Joining the group for the new album sessions will be producer Bob Rock, who previously worked with Motley Crue on their "Dr. Feelgood" and self-titled albums, as well as the three new tracks that appeared on Crue's 2-CD "greatest hits collection, "Red, White & Crue" Hanoi Rocks are currently touring Scandinavia in support of the "Another Hostile Takeover" album, which was issued in Finland last spring. The CD is the group's first album to feature Conny Bloom (ex-Electric Boys), who joined the band last year. Hanoi Rocks' current line-up also includes a second ex-Electric Boys member, bassist Andy "A.C." Christell. Plans exist for the group to embark on a North American tour sometime in early 2006 Brides of Destruction's video for the track "White Trash" has been posted online at Yahoo! Music Brides of Destruction guitarist Tracii Guns has posted the following message on the band's official web site: "I just got back from Europe with the Brides. This was by far the most fun I have ever had in Europe. We travelled by van and I was able to finally see everything I possibly could on our own clock. Italy was just unreal. Now for the burning question. Yes, I am joining Quiet Riot for all of 2006. We are going to record a record and support it by touring the world. I committed at least one year of my time to Quiet Riot and possibly more in the future. What is going to happen to the Brides? Right now, the future of the Brides is not clear. We have not broken the band up, but we also will not be working or playing in 2006. The Brides is constantly a work in progress and I would feel a lot better about the band if Nikki Sixx were to return, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon, so for now, it is what it is. The Brides have the most loyal fans a band could ever want, even without Nikki, and all of us do not take them for granted, and as soon as it is possible to give more back to the fans, I know we will" According to the Canton Repository, EMI is working on a new compilation of songs from 'Poison', slated for release in April.
