Dogs D’Amour fans toast absent friend. New Dogs D’Amour tribute album ‘Their Hearts Caught Fire’ is a record with an important, potentially life-saving, mission: to provide Cancer Research UK with much-needed funds. A year in the making, this brand new collection features 15 artists from around the world covering Dogs D’Amour songs in a variety of styles, from punk to blues and country – as well as an exclusive track by Dogs frontman Tyla, who dons a pseudonym for a live version of fan favourite Heroine. The project, which has Tyla’s blessing, is dedicated to the memory of a fan and friend of the band, Trace Warnaby (known to her online friends as Trace-Da-Space) – a woman who battled cancer for four years with buckets of drive, humour and selflessness, before it claimed her life in December 2006. Their Hearts Caught Fire will be released on CD (from URL) and as a download (from iTunes, Napster and other digital outlets) in February 2008. All proceeds from its sale will be donated to Cancer Research UK
