SPiT LiKE THiS celebrate the release of their long-awaited debut album “We Won’t Hurt You (But We Won’t Go Away)” at Asylum, Birmingham, UK on 8th November, starting at about 8pm. SLT will be performing a live set and there will be all kinds of assorted fun n’ games going on throughout the night. The album will be released on 17th November on Transcend via Cargo Distribution

Fightstar ready to invade your school! MySpace, the world’s premier social network, is giving 14-18 year olds a once in a lifetime chance to host a school party with some of the biggest names in the music industry with a nationwide competition – School Invasions. Hell City Glamours hit the road again starting this week with three Angels shows and a headliner at Manly, Australia: October 15th Coffs Harbour; October 16th Forster; October 17th Port Macquarie; October 18th Manly Fisho’s with Grand Fatal, Lungs, Arcane and a whole bunch of others for the infamous Octoberpuss yearly event. The week after they’ve got a headline show at The Basement in Canberra with the mighty VeeBees. Saturday 1st November will see five of Blackfriars monstrous arches turned into a Crossfire party that will go down in the history within the underground skate, art and music scenes. As well as being one hell of a party, the Crossfire Halloween Massacre 2008 will also mark the re-launch of Crossfire’s online skate and music magazine Version 3.0, the biggest skate and music zine in Europe. With a plethora of star attractions and special guests from the worlds of music, art and skateboarding, this is the only Halloween party in London and the ideal opportunity to make a concerted costume effort on this most hallowed of occasions. Pendulum head up the musical proceedings in the Kerrang! Arch. Expect a two-hour DJ set from El Hornet and MC Verse that will be absolute carnage if their performance with the Crossfire Sound System in the Duracell tent at this year’s Download Festival is anything to go by.  Pendulum will be warmed up by Crossfire’s very own DJ’s Zac Slack and James Sherry who will be announcing their very special guests next week and will bring a collection of the latest punk, metal and rock classics. Katie P from XFM’s rock show and Talita Two Shoes from Total Rock will both be making sure the Kerrang! Room is at full peak rock wise and worth noting that his arch will be lit by Death Metal Halloween art projections from French. Crossfire has delivered the UK’s biggest underground skateboard events since 2001 and to celebrate its 7th Birthday, owner Zac Slack has organised a mini ramp jam with 30 of the best UK and European mini ramp riders from Etnies and Element plus the UK’s best handpicked by Crossfire, Sidewalk Magazine’s Editor Ben Powell and assistant editor Kevin Parrott. This riotous part of the evening will be a jam format from 8.30pm. Expect all riders to be in fancy dress whilst Slayer reigns from the Red Bull Sound System speakers! Those who are expecting the X-Games will be gutted, as this will be straight from the underground as a raw as steak! T-shirt lovers will be stoked to know that the LOVENSKATE tea stall will provide limited edition t-shirts for sale on the night!
