Slash‘s second solo album should be released in March/April 2012. The guitarist will also play at T In The Park in Balado, Kinross-shire (8-10 July) and High Voltage in London on 23 July. Slash’s UK tour dates are:
Birmingham, Academy – 20 July
Manchester, Apollo – 21 July
Stoke, Victoria Hall – 24 July
Leeds, Academy – 25 July

The Darkness will embark on a world tour in 2012, singer Justin Hawkins has revealed. The band, who reformed earlier this year following a five-year break, play at Download in June, before a new album appears next year. The band play a handful of warm up shows in the UK in June.

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is working on a new solo album. The Stones frontman is working in New York with a group of renowned musicians on a new record. The album will feature a host of top musicians from different musical genres, including Joss Stone, Damian Marley, Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart and A.R. Rahman. The collective has no official name at the moment, nor any plans to tour.

Two Side Moon Promotions have signed up Spanish rockers Güru. Güru is the kind of band that every musician dreams of: virtuosity with no-holds barred music from the heart. Four musicians doing what they do best: making great music,great AOR and great rock !

Green Day have announced that they have a “ton” of new songs ready to go so hopefully we can expect a new album very soon.

Drummer Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver, Guns N’ Roses) and guitarist Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns) spent time in Brazil late last month working on the new album from the Brazilian rock band Kiara Rocks.

Cinderella, Kix, Firehouse, Stryper, Faster Pussycat and Bang Tango are among the newly confirmed bands for the new metal cruise Monsters Of Rock – The Voyage, which is set to sail on February 25 and return three days later via Ft. Lauderdale / Bahamas / Key West. The line up so far is: Tesla, Cinderella, Kix, Y&T, Firehouse, Stryper, Black ‘N Blue, Lynch Mob, Keel, Eric Martin, John Corabi, Faster Pussycat and Bang Tango.
