SPiT LiKE THiS have been caught up in a media storm since their cover version of the Rocky Horror Show classic “Sweet Transvestite” has been mistakenly reported by one of the world’s biggest websites, PerezHilton.com, as a leaked demo from hit TV show, Glee. SPiT LiKE THiS vocalist, Lord Zion, has been left bewildered – albeit very flattered – by the mistake. He takes up the story: “I am extremely proud that Perez Hilton thinks that I should have been in a lead role in a hit TV show – perhaps FOX should be giving me a call?! Joking aside, we recorded that tune a couple of years ago as the B-side to our Hallowe’en single, ‘Trick Or Mistreat’. It was then put on our ‘We Won’t Hurt You’ album as a bonus track and then pretty much forgotten about. I guess everything online develops a life and story of it’s own and these latest turn of events is proof of that!”
The article on PerezHilton.com has been Tweeted and re-posted thousands of times. PerezHilton.com receives an estimated 14 million regular readers. A quick search of the internet reveals that the rumour has spread to hundreds of sites – including YouTube and Glee fan sites – Worldwide. http://perezhilton.com/2010-10-22-leaked-john-stamos-glee-demo-sweet-transvestite

I can’t remember anything except for burning like a coin in someone’s hand. I was woken by people banging at my door.
