At the time, Weezer’s Pinkerton’s vulnerable lyrics and edgier music took audiences and critics by surprise. Today Pinkerton approaches platinum and is widely hailed as one of modern rock’s greatest albums. The Deluxe Edition adds previously unreleased live and studio tracks. Weezer will also add a follow-up to just released Hurley with Death To False Metal on November 8th which includes brand new songs created from revamped versions of previously unreleased recordings

Bristol riff monsters Left Side Brain spit out a stunning compilation album entitled ‘Rifftrospective’; through Sugarshack record. The record marks the band’s 10th anniversary. The hard-working quartet have released three albums and toured the nation’s highyways and byways for the past decade. The band have certainly had their share of trials and tribulations, transit van tours, financial constraints, working crappy-ass jobs and they still have the motivation and drive to move forward (cue brand new record out 2011).

Ascending skewed-up rock crew ‘Mum Locked in Castle’ unveil their brand new five-track EP ‘Lions Led’ through Medium Rare Records. The four-piece sound like an early Incubus spewing out dirty funked-up metal grooves and breeding with the spawn of The Mars Volta, MLIC are here to make their twisted mark on the UK scene, and these Yorkshire lads have the perfect bait in the shape of their new record ‘Lions Led’, out this Autumn. M.E.P.R. is very happy to announce that a liaison with the Lycan Media Group will mean them representing Tamworth Power rock band Lost In Vegas for the release of their forthcoming Mini Album “A State Of Mind” through Plastic Head on November 1st. They will be hold an album launch at QZone, Ankerside Shopping Centre, Tamworth on Friday 29th October. Tickets are £5 on the door and includes a free copy of the album.

Rock ‘n’ roll icons Social Distortion have officially announced the release of their long awaited, highly anticipated new studio album, Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes, which is set for January 17 2011. A follow-up to their acclaimed album Sex, Love and Rock ‘n’ Roll, Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes is the band’s seventh studio album and first release in over six years. Fans are invited to download the first single, “Machine Gun Blues,” via iTunes on November 8.

New York three-piece fun. will release single ‘Walking The Dog’ to coincide with their next trip to the U.K. which will see the band opening for Paramore at their arena shows in November. Mark Sultan is the voice behind King Kahn & BBQ Show (he is BBQ) and widely known as a pioneer in the modern garage-rock/doo-wop movement. With past releases on In The Red and Sub Pop he has gained a large underground international following (one of his last tours was with Black Lips). 2010′s new album ‘$’ on Last Gang Records will open ears and eyes to a name that is sometimes overlooked and to a voice and music that is sometimes miscredited.

Die So Fluid are following up their last UK tour with a handful of shows to blow the cobwebs off before their December appearance at Hard Rock Hell IV, feat. Skid Row, Uriah Heap and Airbourne! Owing to the phenomenal response DIE SO FLUID are receiving to the release of their album in Germany, the band are looking forward to when “The World Is Too Big For One Lifetime” hits the rest of Europe early next year. DSF will also be embarking on a European tour in 2011 to celebrate the occasion with dates planned for Finland, Germany, Russia, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, France, Spain… pretty much everywhere!! March 2011 will also see DSF return to the UK.

Los Angeles – Rock stalwarts Pretty Boy Floyd have released Kiss of Death, a fifteen-track CD of KISS cover tunes. “We did this album to pay tribute to one of the greatest rock n’ roll bands in history,” says PBF guitarist Kristy Majors. “Kiss influenced us in so many ways.” Pretty Boy Floyd has also changed and expanded the dates for their European tour with L.A. Enter Shikari are releasing a new single ‘Destabilise’ on October 26th via download and limited 7” vinyl on November 29th. ‘Destabilise’ is the first brand new Enter Shikari track since February’s ‘Thumper’, and was produced by Enter Shikari & Dan Weller during the summer of this year. The track will be released as a very limited edition coloured vinyl 7″ (backed by live favourite ‘Motherstep/Mothership’ recorded at the band’s Hammersmith Apollo show back in February) which will be available only from independent record stores on 29th November; coinciding nicely with the band’s UK arena tour as special guests of 30 Seconds To Mars).
