Exciting things are on the horizon for a couple of the members of SR-71. Mitch and John are talking about a release but in the meantime John’s new band, Chosen Son (formerly Forty Acres), is releasing a record through the same label that brought you the last Exies and Buckcherry records

Chavis Records are thrilled to announce the signing of the Bulletboys to the label for their much anticipated new worldwide release. The band is currently in the studio finishing the final recordings before heading to the mixing and mastering phase. The project is being recorded at El Garaje Studios in Cape Coral, FL. The greatest all blonde glam melodic band of the 80′s Sweet Savage are reforming with prospects of a Rocklahoma spot in July, some European dates and an album of tunes that prove they should have been up there with the Poison and Warrants of this world. The band Joey C Jones (lead vocals), Chris Sheridan (guitars), Laine Sheridan (bass), and Randy St John (drums), came out at the same time as Poison but were mainly mid west based and despite a huge following and turning down the Enigma Records deal that Poison eventually took, major deals weren’t the problem… they were to good for LA. They’ve secured promotion with glam guru Kelv Hellrazer, who’s been helping Joey C Jones prior to this project, with his latest CD release “Melodies For The Masses-Best of Vol1″

As for the United States, they will be touring in the USA later this summer! In other news, the new Army of Freshmen record is now recorded and being mixed! They are doing everything in their power to get it out this June and they will be releasing the first track and video in May

Enter Shikari announce UK/Ireland Autumn tour dates. The tour bypasses many of the usual touring band stop offs, and instead takes in several cities and towns that the band hasn’t seen for a couple of years, check the bands website for full details. All shows are 14+. Tickets go on special presale to members of the Enter Shikari mailing list on 8th May. Remaining tickets go on general sale the following week. The band are also working on a possible mail-order/merch table only, ‘bootleg’ live DVD compilation. It will feature footage shot at shows around the world and will be released in time for the tour (or thereabouts)

Z ROCK 08 the oldest existing melodic rock festival in the Europe is now only 4 weeks away. The organisers would like nothing more than to announce a 2009 show at this years event, however they need to pass a certain level of sales prior to this years event to make next years show happen.
