Los Angeles – Hollywood rock stalwart Pretty Boy Floyd will be headlining the 40th anniversary party of rock music’s most celebrated venue, the Rainbow Bar and Grill, on April 15th.

“To simply say that it’s an honor to have been selected to headline this gig would be an understatement,” say Pretty Boy Floyd guitarist Kristy Majors. “When I first came out here from New York City in the late 80s, the Rainbow was already the stuff of legends, the place where Led Zeppelin, the Beatles and the Who used to hang out. Everybody who’s anybody has been to the Rainbow. I can’t tell you what an honor it is to have been chosen to headline this event.”

The Rainbow’s clientele is a veritable “Who’s Who” of rock music, including Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Who, Janis Joplin, Lemmy, Motley Crue, Guns N’ Roses, Poison, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and many, many more.

Other bands scheduled to perform: Hurricane, Cold Blue Rebels (featuring former members of the Zeroes and Jetboy), London and more.

The event is free to attend, and will take place in the Rainbow and their parking lot this Sunday from 5:00 pm til 2:00 am.

Pretty Boy Floyd was formed in Los Angeles in the late 80s. They have toured globally and released several albums, selling over a million copies internationally. The group is currently in the studio completing work on their new self-titled album, scheduled for a late Spring release.

It has been announced today that Tigertailz have parted company with singer Kim Hooker.

A short statement reads as follows:
Relieved to be honest.. We’re obviously disappointed that Kim’s gone but things have deteriorated to such a point that the band looked like it would never play or record again. So something had to give. And we’d just reached a point where we couldn’t agree on anything anymore – and one of the biggest issues being Sarah’s departure. Since then things have just gone from bad to worse and we’ve all had enough so time to move on.

44 Caliber, a five piece sleaze band from Sweden released their debut album earlier this year. The band consist of the charismatic vocalist C.C Rockets, the creative guitarist Chris, the hyperactive Divine on guitar and the bass player Nikke, occasionally missing. Recently they walked separate ways with old drummer Jo-Jo LaDiva, and currently they´re looking for a new one. The band acts out the myth of sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll, living for the moment; both in their music and in their way of life. So the big question is can YOU handle 44 Caliber?

Superhorrofuck frontman and bassist to release solo album. Dr. Freak and Mr. Four, singer and bass player of Superhorrorfuck respectively, are going to finish the making of “Rock N Roll Brotherhood”, in the next few days, an album in which they will play an unusual and new soloist role. “Mr. Four and I felt the need to give voice to the softer and melodic side of our creativity, the one that with Superhorrorfuck is only partially developed; so having both the same wish, we decided to collaborate and make this album” says Dr. Freak. “Rock N Roll Brotherhood” will show a new and intimate side of the two musicians, linked to their former life, experiencing an electro-glam rock trend, with forays into pop, even though the combination of this gloomy term with the voices of the two, who will take turns behind the microphone, makes you shudder with fear at the thought… “Rock N Roll Brotherhood” may see the light in October on logic(il)logic, a label that has released the latest album of these zombies from Verona called “Livingdeadstars”. Meanwhile the other members of Superhorrorfuck are locked in their vault to gather new ideas for the third full length, scheduled for 2012.

Dananananaykroyd released their brand new single ‘Muscle Memory’ today! Recently signed to Epitaph Records, Dangerous! will be hitting the UK for the first time this week and hitting it hard with a whole host of live dates in London and across the country, including festival appearances at Download and NASS plus more to be confirmed. The Kinks reissue more classic albums in brand new deluxe format. Legendary British guitar group the Kinks are to re-release three classic albums in a brand new double CD deluxe format on June 13th, following the re-issue of their first three albums in March. Top Buzzer unleash their debut album Outside Is A World on June 27th through their own label Back2Forward Records. Although recorded in the UK, most of the album was mixed in New York City by Kennan Keating (Nine Inch Nails and Blondie). Top Buzzer’s first full-length release is an antidote to Britain’s coalition hangover. It urges the listener to make an informed view of us lot and to enjoy the good while we can. “Remission”, the first single from the album, is a brash, fast paced, witty and catchy number that is a simile heavy account of the demise of a relationship but, whereas this subject matter would normally be the bastion of minor chord addled misery, Top Buzzer successfully manage to inject a surprising sense of dry fun to the proceedings. This track is a lyrical tour de force with innovative references that compare the demerits of a past love to the infamous Sinclair C5 car.
